Joseph M. Regan

Joseph M. Regan “Joe”, of Northeast Philadelphia, formerly of the Feltonville section, sadly passed away September 14, 2022 at the age of 83. Joe and his family owned and operated Regan’s Bar for 70 years with the bar closing in 2014 after his working there for 57 years. He was inducted into the Philadelphia Softball Hall of Fame in 1986 and the PA Sports Hall of Fame, City All-Star Chapter in 2010. He was also the recipient of the Old Timers Bats and Balls William “Pickles” Kennedy Award in 2015.  Joe sponsored and coached many successful softball and football teams over the years with the Regan’s Bar team winning the ASA Modified Softball National Championship in 2002.  Husband of the late Sonia Regan (nee Kacewich). Loving father of Maryann Vaccaro (Steve), Patricia Regan and Kathleen Albertson. Beloved grandfather of Martin Regan, Bridget Albertson, Nora Albertson, Grace Albertson, Maggie Vaccaro and Andrew Vaccaro. Son of the late Martin P.  and Marie Regan (nee Phillips) of County Mayo, Ireland.  Brother of the late Marie Jackson and Anne Lentz. He is also survived by his many devoted nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial for Joe on October 15th at Cottage Green (9001 Ashton Rd. Phila., PA 19136) from 11AM-1:00PM.
