Janet Nazworth
January 11, 1969 – October 10, 2026

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Janet was a free spirit who loved music, singing and reading. She had a soft spot for stray animals and always seemed to be walking through the door with another. Her deep compassion came with a stubborn determination to help those who could not help themselves. She wanted to leave the world better than she found it. In her own way, she did.

Diagnosed with brain cancer in 2017 and given just three months to live, Janet faced her illness with determination for nine long years. Through all she endured, she kept smiling and never lost the spirit that made her who she was. She is finally at rest.

Janet is survived by her parents, Catherine and William Nazworth; her son, Jamie Dignam, who loved her dearly and was proud to call her his mother; her two sisters, Kitty and Stacy; and her brother, Bill.

A private gathering will be held to honor Janet’s memory. Details to follow.
