June Craig

June Craig, aged 84, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and
countless cherished memories.
Born and raised in Northampton, England, June was immensely proud of her English heritage, which remained an
important part of who she was throughout her life. As a young woman, she met John “Jack” Craig on a blind date
and fell head over heels in love. They married soon afterward and began a new chapter of their lives together,
building a family and a lifetime of memories.
June was a woman with a generous heart, a wicked sense of humor, and an infectious zest for life. She loved to
laugh, dance, and carry on, and her quick wit could brighten any room. She made friends wherever she went, and
people were drawn to her warmth, lively personality, and unmistakable English accent.
June took immense joy in watching her grandchildren grow through the years. From attending dance recitals to
cheering the boys on at soccer games, she delighted in being part of their lives. In her later years, she especially
loved talking with Courtnee, Victoria, Brandan, Andrew, and Daniel, with whom she shared an exceptionally
close bond.
June’s love extended far beyond her own family. She adored children, and caring for them seemed to come as
naturally to her as breathing. While raising her own children, she also babysat for others, and as her family grew,
she continued caring for her grandchildren and welcoming neighborhood children into her life. Many of these
children grew up calling her Nanny, and their love and affection for her continued well into adulthood.
June is survived by her five sons: John (Joelle), Daniel (Michelle), Joseph (Cheryl), Andrew (Kristie), and
Steven; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by
her dearest sister-in-law, Kathleen Raffa; her loving brother-in-law, Keith Parker; and her dear friends, Colleen
Henning and Sheri Levins.
June was predeceased by her loving husband, Jack; her beloved grandson, Ethan; her two younger sisters, Dawn
Braddock and Patricia Parker; and her brother-in-law, Joseph Raffa.
June’s legacy is one of love freely given, friendships that became family, and laughter that brightened the lives of
everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered for her warmth, her humor, her deep love of
family, her pride in her English roots, and the countless lives she touched simply by being herself.
June was deeply loved and will be missed more than words can express. Her extraordinary spirit will live on in
the hearts and memories of all who knew her. Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation and funeral on Tuesday, October 27, at Christ the King Catholic Church. 3252 Chesterfield Rd. Phila., Pa 19114. You may visit and comfort June’s family from 9:30 am – 11:00 am in church. There will be a funeral mass starting at 11:00 am. Burial to follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in June’s memory may be made to the Diabetes Research Institute.
