Susan Langan

It is with surpassing grief that we announce the passing of Susan Langan (née Bresnan) on July 27, 2026. She leaves behind nine siblings, four sons, and four grandchildren, all of whom she loved with a fierceness exclusive to those generous of spirit and pure of heart. We lament that this world is made dimmer by her loss, but look with hopeful expectation to a permanent reunion in a more perfect world where, even now, her light burns more brilliantly than the envious stars of our earthly skies.

A memorial service will be held at St. Matthew’s Church, 3000 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19149, on Friday, July 31st at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to gather afterward for a luncheon beginning at 1:00 PM at PGW Local 686 Union Hall, 9190 Marshall Street, Philadelphia, PA 19114

Susan - I love you and miss you so much. You were not only my sister, but my best friend too. The times we spent together were always full of laughter and good times. Our trips to North Wildwood every summer were so much fun. You would always make sure we got our fudge before we went home. You were an amazing, thoughtful, and loving sister who will never be forgotten. Heaven just received a very special Angel Rest in peace, Love Sandy

My Beautiful sister Susan…. We spent 10 years working closely together at Anne Frank School and Mast Charter School. Wow! I can’t even count all of the laughs and good time we had working with the kids. I will miss all of your phone calls and also not seeing you at our family Christmas party this year. My heart is broken but I’m sure you are happy that you are with Mommy and Daddy and your brother Bartholomew. I will know that everytime I hear my wind chimes it will be you. I love you, will miss you but know that one day we will be together again. 😢🩷

Suzie!!! You better be drinking a nice pina colada up there with Mommy and Daddy. Give them all the family updates too! I will miss you so much. I loved all our time together and the many phone calls to check in. I surely will miss all the laughter! Too many great times and belly laughs to list. I love you and will never stop thinking of you. May God bless you always. Love from your sister, Holly

You’re a beautiful person so I did not see too very often. I believe it was only last year that I was at a graduation party and I thought you look so beautiful. The world has lost a wonderful soul too soon. My only thoughts are now that you can see your mother and father bear and you will be in no more pain. They invested peace now Sweet with much love your cousin Mary, Bresnan Rowland
