David A. Dugan

Dave Anthony Dugan passed away suddenly and most unexpectedly on April 4, 2025, at the age of 63. He was a loving father to his son, Shawn Dugan, of Philadelphia. David enjoyed rock and roll music, songs from the seventies and going to concerts. He was a huge fan of the music group Chicago, Fleetwood Mac, and Elton John. Over the years, David spent time as a mechanics helper and enjoyed working on cars. He had an extensive collection of movies on VHS and DVD that he treasured. His all-time favorite movies were Star Wars and the movie Gladiator. David enjoyed going to Booths Corner in Delco. He was the type of person who would do anything for anyone. David had a big heart, was kind, and a kid at heart. Most of all, David cherished spending time with his family as holidays were super special with David. Surviving are his siblings, Michael W. Dugan of Eddystone, PA, Ruth Ann Edwards of Denham Springs, LA, Mary E. Dugan of Bala Cynwyd, PA, and Catherine Dugan-Tripler of Aston, PA. Also surviving and who loved him unconditionally, his nieces and nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephew, along with aunts, uncles, and cousins. A celebration of life for David will be planned for a later date

David had a sweet soul and I remember he always had a smile and was laughing all the time. What I remember most was his key collection....lol. Evertine I see a bunch of keys I think if David. Sadly, I haven't seen him in quite a while but he will always have a piece of my heart and memory. God's peace to you David!

David had a kind heart and a gentle soul. He lit up the room with his style and presence. He also shared the same name as my son David Anthony. I've known David. For so long I consider him my own family member. It was quite a shock when Regina told me he had passed suddenly. I will surely miss you. I love you eternally.

I still cannot believe that I have lost you, my brother. There are so many memories that we had together, and we always always loved talking about growing up with grandmom and pop. We would reminisce about grandmom's cooking, her shortbread and the easter candy she made, and those lemon meringue pies! In recent years, holidays were spent with big dinners at my house and we all sat around and watched Star Wars episodes. You would fill up on dinner and then fall asleep on the couch wrapped in a blanket (hogging up all the space-LOL). This past year is when we really got to spend more time together. I really enjoyed our lunch out at the May Fair Diner recently. I found it rather odd that you ordered fish and chips like I did, knowing you were never crazy about fish at all....but maybe because you wanted to eat the same as I was. I know for a fact that holidays will not be the same without you, and all those crazy off the wall gifts you gave. I think the most that I will miss about you is your laugh and your silliness. I will always remember us watching one of our favorite movies, Gladiator. I put it on every time you came over. It never got old for either of us. Thank you for being my big brother. You were taken way to soon. I will always always love you and cherish our times we had together.

Uncle David loved to call me a “croney”.After helping him clean his apt and throwing out a lot of his stuff, he would joke around and say “Hey croney! Where’s my stuff croney?!” I would then reply “In the dump, sucker!” He loved to laugh. During car rides we would sing along to some of his favorites, with the window down on a sunny day with his sunglasses on. Occasionally letting him smoke in the car behind mom’s back. That’s how I picture him now. Driving around in a convertible, smoking a cigarette and blasting sweet tunes. I miss you so much uncle David. I’d give anything for just one more car ride. I know you’re up there doing all your favorite things. I love you so much and I’ll see you later. XOXO Jessica aka sugar bear
