Richard Mauro

Richard “Richie” “Ricardo” Mauro formerly of Mayfair passed away suddenly on 1-1-25. Richie was preceded in death by his parents Philip and Frances Mauro. Survived by his daughter Alicia (Nick), grandson Nicky, brother Philip, sister Beverly, Goddaughter Shannon (Kirby), nieces Valerie (Mike) and Brandi (Torin), cousins Michael, Renee (the Late Bob), Lenny (Bernadette), Frankie (Jennifer), Stephen (Dawn), Lisa, Jimmy, John (Bridget), Robert, Dave (Rose), Tommy (Janet), Aunt Cathy and Uncle Rick and many great nephews and nieces.

Richie was full of life, extremely social and had a personality that filled the room. His life grew two folds with the birth of his daughter Alicia and then the birth of his grandson Nicky. Richie will be remembered for being one of the good guys with a heart of gold. Richie had a zest for life; from playing sports to attending concerts, from playing the drums to driving fast cars or the cleanest Mega truck, Richie lived life to the fullest. He never missed an opportunity to gather with family and friends while sharing a story or two. To know Richie was to have a friend for life, he greeted everyone with his smile and a handshake. Richie, you are our Guardian Angel and we were all blessed to have shared life with you.

There will be a visitation and funeral at The Christian Life Church, 3100 Galloway Rd, Bensalem PA 19020, on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 10:00 am-11:00 am followed by a Celebration of Life service from 11:00 am-12:00 pm.

He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, 1215 Super Highway, Langhorne, PA 19047.

It would be “way cool” if we shared Richie’s joys in life. Family is asking for everyone to wear anything Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, Racing, Concert, Mega or anything that reminds you of him.

“IT’S A BEAUTIFUL THING” – Richie Mauro’s words to live by

Clare Ulrich Sieger

My sincere condolences to Bev and the entire Mauro Family on the passing of Richard.

Tony Dalton

My brother Glenn and I knew Richie and Phil since 4th or 5th grade at St Tims which means 60 years. . In 1966 we were all on the Vogt Little league Baseball team where Mr. Mauro was the coach. Years later playing for the Mayfair Shamrocks basketball team where my father Frank was the coach. Never forget the time Mrs. Mauro brought us kids out some chicken soup and I insisted Richie try putting some Ketchup in like we used to. . Funny I heard from Ritchie or Phil that they were still doing it like 30 years later. I also remember seeing Richie at the Cherry club scene and jamming in the Montague Street basement with me on the guitar and Richie drumming to Barracuda by Heart. “This use to be our Playground” & Will never ever forget the memories! Condolences from the Dalton’s. Tony & Kathy, Glenn & Charlene and Mom Pat Dalton.

Very sad to hear of his passing. I grew up directly behind their family home. Ritchie was always playing his drums. He would get me to bring my amp and guitar over to play along. Very easy going and great guy to talk with. I know he will be missed. Recently we commented about Jesus and being saved and shared thoughts on Heaven. There’s no doubt he is with Jesus. I know I will see him again.

I've known Uncle Richie my entire life. I can't remember a day seeing Richie that he wasn't smiling from ear to ear the entire time he was around. He had a way of projecting a pure joy for life that everyone around him could feel. I've heard many stories of his from drumming to hauling to fast cars and even cutting up trees with Asplundh. My parents have even more stories about him that I've heard from his own mouth, and that's probably because he was more interested in the things my brothers and I (and our families now) were up to, instead of himself. He was such a fan of ours and would tell us every chance he got. I'm going to miss this dude so much, rest easy Uncle.

Makenzie- Neighbor

Oh, Richie… I do not have have the words to describe what an amazing person you were. Being your neighbor the past 10 years has been more than an honor. Richie would buy a whole pizza and knocked on my door about 20 mins later asking if my girls wanted the rest. The long daily conversations we’d have is something I’ll truly miss. In the summer, it will not be the same walking into the house without seeing you sunbathing on your porch in your chair! You will be missed dearly Richie! Forever in our hearts ❤️

TOM, JANAYA, AUSTIN AND AVEREE MUNDY

We will forever miss you Rich! My neighbor for 5 years on Saxton Rd- Him and my husband Tom would go out front and trim the branches back- Rich would direct- Tom would cut - and the same for the backyard! Every single morning, no matter the weather, Rich would feed the birds- We both drove black cars- they would crap on mine but never his- lol- I would say Rich-Can you feed them after I leave in the morning! Sure, he would say but lasted a week- haha- He would never eat an entire pizza pie- and I would pick up his favorite cake - he would take a slice and give me the rest! There's so many memories after 5 Years- We will never ever forget you! I know you are in Heaven - We will meet again!

There is a deep void in our lives since you left us. The memories, the laughing and all the love will forever remain in our hearts. I know your reunion with your family and friends in Heaven was all that you believed it would be. Till we meet again, save a spot at the heavenly banquet for us close to you. Love forever, Lisa and Jake

To my brother, you have given many of people memories they share in phone calls, text even E mails. That shows love and respect. As your brother I cried hearing you left us , my heart broke. You made my spaghetti with ground meat and my sloppy Joes and you gave me a bible. I will miss your cooking, your laughter and sending Instagram and tic toc to you but most of all I will miss us talking and your love. I thought I would go before you. I will be seeing you soon. Greet me at the gates with mom and dad then let’s go visit family together. I love you

  1. Ritchie, It was a blast to know you all these years. We had much in common and many stories to share. I’m glad we had time to share at the car shows, you had a big influence in my love of Chevelles especially the “65”. I will always remember you as a great friend for life! See you on the other side my brother!

  2. I will miss your smiling face and all your positive posts, Richie. And I will always remember all the fun times at Cherry’s with you and Big Dave, back in the day.
