Joanne I wish I took more opportunities to thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and compassion you consistently reserved for my family and I. You fulfilled a whole cast of meaningful roles in my life from my babysitter, my neighbor, a dear friend of my mother and grandmother, a mother to me I when needed one, and of course, my best friends mother. You were always appreciated and loved and while you finally get to rest you will be remembered, cherished, and admired for being one of the strongest women I’ve ever known.

Oh, Joanne. Your family was so special to me growing up. You experienced more than a lifetime of grief. I hope you are at peace and reunited with the loved ones you’ve grieved for so long. Big hugs and lots of love to all of your loved ones— especially Nicole, Ian, Lynne, and your precious grandchildren. Give Nanny a big squeeze for me.
