I remember Uncle Jimmy as the quiet, creative, yet strong, nonconformist Uncle. He was more worldly than anyone I knew - always learning knew things… and what talent with his beautiful paintings and of course martial arts. He knew what was important too - with Aunt Edith, his children & family. Our beautiful Uncle will be missed! 💜

Similar to many of you, my fond memories of Poppy are endless. He never shied away from difficult conversations. If he knew you were struggling, he made it a point to reinforce that your hardship was real, that he was thinking of you, and that he loved you. He never ignored the elephant in the room. He had a way of making each and every one of us feel seen, safe, and deeply loved.

I will aways remember Uncle and his sidekick - aunt Edith as the young cool aunt and uncle- as time went on - he became the “snake whisperer to me”. I can still hear aunt Edith saying- you can’t take it home Jim —- as he grabbed the black rat snake from my field and put him in the car. Lol. One of a kind - Godspeed uncle!

I remember your dad for as long as I can remember , and he was always the sweetest. I’ll never forget how he’d bring home Valentines for me and Michele, every year, always making us feel so special. He’d pick us up from carnivals when it was so late the buses stopped running and somehow he managed to catch us sneaking out without ever really getting mad- he’d pretend to be annoyed, but you could tell he had a soft spot for us. He always treated me like I was one of his own. I’ll never forget him jamming on the drums with my son when he was just a little guy. No matter how much time passed, he was always just as kind and full of heart. He will be dearly missed. Sending so much love to all of you ❤️
