We are saddened to announce the passing of Edward Devlin, formerly of the Tacony section of Philadelphia, who passed away on July 27th, 2025, at the age of 82.
Ed was the beloved son of the late Edward Devlin and Margaret (Carty) Devlin. He attended Father Judge High School and graduated with the Class of 1961. After high school, Ed proudly served in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Germany, and was honorably discharged following his dedicated service. His time overseas sparked a lifelong love of travel.
Following his military service, Ed worked for many years with Pierce Phelps, where he was a dedicated and valued employee.
A man of many interests, Ed was an avid bowler, skier, and golfer. He was a passionate supporter of Philadelphia sports, especially the Phillies and Eagles. His favorite moments were spent at the Avalon shore with his close friends, where they upheld a beloved tradition of enjoying a Thanksgiving-style turkey dinner every Memorial Day weekend.
Ed will be remembered most for his gentle nature. His calm presence, sincere kindness, and warm demeanor left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He lived with quiet dignity and brought light to those around him.

Ed will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
