Larry Davis

Larry Edward Davis, born and raised in Philadelphia, sadly passed away on May 3, 2024, at the age of 71, with his niece, Kelli by his side. After graduating from the Philadelphia School District, he entered the United States Army where he was honored and proud to have served. After being honorably discharged, he worked in the field of nursing until he retired. One of Larry's favorite past times early on was training with the International Shotokan Karate Federation where he had obtained several belts. He loved to eat, listen to the oldies, watch basketball and was a huge fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. He would talk "smack" and banter with any and everyone who would listen about his team. Larry could be lovingly kind, surly, and feisty all at the same time. He loved the Lord, and enjoyed fellowshipping with his Pastor Elsie Bowen, and church family of Righteous Healing Ministries, where he served faithfully as an Armour Bearer. Larry joins his father, Otis Davis, mother, Eloise Davis, only brother, Otis Davis Jr., and his only daughter, Johannah Danielle Davis in the peaceful rest of God. He leaves to cherish his loving memories to nieces and nephews; Kelli Little, Earl Davis, Christina Forgette, and Curtis Davis. Great niece and nephews; Sean, Aaron, Jordyn, Elijah, and Ryan. Cousin: Sylvester Simmons, and a host of other relatives and friends who will treasure his memory forever. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. There will be a memorial celebration for all to attend on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 11:00am, at The Witherspoon Apartments Community Room, located at 2050 South 58th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19143.
