Gina Sigal

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Gina Rose Sigal (nee Friel) of Philadelphia, Pa. who was 59 years old. Gina was born July 10, 1965, and passed away on August 20, 2024. Gina will be remembered as a loving and caring wife and best friend to her husband, Barry Sigal of 34 years, and a loving and proud mother to her daughter Asia Sigal. She will also be remembered fondly by her brother Vincent J Friel and his wife Lindsey, sister Nicole Friel, her Aunt Susan, her cousin Krystle and her family, Aunt Pat Jackson and her family, and her many friends.

Gina was a graduate of Frankford HS and Hussein School of Fine Arts. She worked as a graphic artist with the Philadelphia Police Department and the Free Library of Philadelphia.

Gina had been living and fighting her MS for the last 22 years. The family is asking that any donations in her memory should be made to the National MS Society

Marie Gorko

Marie Gorko, age 76, formerly of the Tacony section of Phila., sadly passed away on August 20, 2024. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband. Marie was a loving mother to Gerard Rawle (Angela), Kevin Rawle and Erin Rawle. She was a cherished "Mom Mom" to her grandchildren Andy, Brandon, Teagan, Josh, and Nick, and a proud great-grandmother to Brayden.

Family and friends are invited to Marie's memorial service on Friday, August 30th, at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc., 6711 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19135 (between Unruh and Knorr Sts.), from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. A prayer service will follow at 11:00 am. Further arrangements will be managed privately by her family.

Joseph G. D’Alessio

Joseph G. D'Alessio, formerly of the Tacony section of Philadelphia, sadly passed away on August 19, 2024, at age 68. Joseph was a casino dealer by trade and worked in the industry for several years. He will be missed by his sister, Janet Carroll (Paul J.), his nieces and nephew, and his great-nieces and great-nephews. All are invited to Joseph's memorial service on Tuesday, August 27th at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc. 6711 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19135 (between Unruh & Knorr Sts.) between 10:00 am-11:00 am. There will be a prayer service in the funeral home at 11:00 am. Burial to follow in Magnolia Cemetery.

Elizabeth T. “Betty” McCullough

Elizabeth T. "Betty" McCullough (nee Barrett), of Mt. Carmel, PA, formerly of the Holmesburg/Mayfair section of Philadelphia, PA passed away on August 17, 2024, at the age of 75.

Betty was a proud 1968 graduate of St. Hubert's Catholic High School For Girls. Recent Widow of Michael J. McCullough. Mother of Jennifer Fleury (Jim), Colleen Giorgi (Dominic), and Michael McCullough.

Betty was predeceased by her parents: William J. Barrett and Elizabeth T. Barrett and her sister, Annamae T. Dengler (JR).

She is survived by her sisters, Teresa Coyne (Frank) and Marie Patterson (Steve Snyder), and her brother, William Barrett (Diane)

Also survived by three amazing grandchildren: Joey, Danny, and Sarah, and three great-grandchildren. She is the beloved Aunt to many nephews, nieces, grandnephews & grandnieces. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, teacher, and Mom-Mom to many.

She was a caregiver to many children throughout her life, as a young teacher, foster mother, substitute teacher, babysitter, and home daycare Mom for many years.

A lifelong Disney fan, where all her 'Dreams came true' when she was there, in the Magic Kingdom, or somewhere on the property, with her family.

Nothing meant more to Betty than spending any time, anywhere, with her family. As long as we were together, that's all that mattered.♥️

Family and Friends are invited to attend her Memorial service on Friday, August 23, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc. 6711 Frankford Avenue. Philadelphia, PA 19135. (between Unruh & Knorr Sts.) A prayer will be said at 11:00 a.m. The burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
