Eileen Stafford
Eileen Stafford (nee Cassidy), of Northeast Philadelphia, peacefully passed away on July 17, 2024, at 64. Eileen attended Saint Leo's for grade school and she is an alumna of Nazareth Academy. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University. Her commitment to nursing touched the lives of many throughout her career. Daughter of the late James and Rena Cassidy. Wife of the late Terrence Stafford. Loving mother to Kaitlyn Sowers and Jaimie Delany (Matthew). Cherished mom-mom of Cassidy, Elizabeth, and Theresa. Beloved sister of Kathleen Matthews and Maureen Lowney. Devoted aunt to Robert "R.J." (Kristen), Daniel (Monica), Christopher, Ryan (Daniella), and Conor. Great-aunt of Grayson, Quinn, Cora Elizabeth, Aidan, and Francesca Marie. All are invited to Eileen's visitation and funeral on Saturday, July 27th at St. Timothy's R.C. Church (3001 Levick St. Phila., PA 19149) from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. There will be a funeral mass at 10:30 am. Further arrangements will be made by her family. Gerald Devlin
Gerald Devlin, born in Philadelphia on September 2, 1942, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 81. Lovingly known as Jerry, he has now been reunited with his late wife, Mary Veronica Devlin (Logan). He is survived by his children, Mimi (Devlin) Fagan and her husband Nate, Jerry Devlin Jr. and his wife Roberta, Vicki Devlin, and Stacy Devlin. Also survived by grandchildren, Kara Devlin, Courtney (Biggans) Knechel, Jeremy Biggans, Casey Biggans, Lily Devlin, Olivia Devlin and Fitzy Devlin as well as great-grandchildren Garrett and Wyatt Knechel. He was one of nine children to Josephine and Jon Devlin. He is survived by siblings, Catherine Hathaway, Eddie Devlin, Dottie Evans, Debbie Bean and Peggy Santaniello. He now joins his other siblings, Mary Miller, Jon Devlin and Bill Devlin. Jerry’s life will be celebrated and memorialized at a later date where we will invite anyone who wants to share in his memory.
Jose Emerson Cease
Jose E. Cease, of North Philadelphia, passed away on July 14, 2024, at age 71. Beloved husband of Amelia (nee Villar). Loving father of Matthew Cease (Tess) and Maynard Cease. Devoted grandfather of Emanuel. Also survived by many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing and funeral on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 9:30am – 11:00am at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc. 6711 Frankford Ave. (between Unruh & Knorr sts) There will be a prayer and eulogy service starting at 11:00am Further arrangements will be held at the convenience of the family.
Gerald “Jerry” Walton
Gerald "Jerry" Walton was born and raised in Philadelphia and a passionate fan of all things Philadelphia. He was a graduate of Northeast Catholic High School Class of 1980. He passed away unexpectedly on July 12. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Harry Sr. and Mary A. Walton, as well as his sister, Mary T. Runewicz (Robert). Jerry is survived by his 4 brothers and their spouses, Harry Jr. (Susan), Dennis Sr. (Joann), John (Irene) and Stephen Sr.(Elaine). As well as a daughter, Stephanie and 7 nephews, Peter, Conor, Dennis Jr., Daniel, Stephen Jr., Ian and Luke. At the request of his family, Jerry will be cremated with no services.
