On May 15, 1931, Rehama Clark was born to the late Issac and Vermell Croxton, of Winston-Salem North Carolina, along with 3 other siblings, Issac, Robert, Marvin & Fred Croxton.
She received her education in the Winston-Salem North Carolina & the Philadelphia Pa. School district. Mother Clark received a Bachelor of Religious Studies degree from the W. L. Bonner Bible College in Columbia South Carolina in 2006.
Nursing was her passion. Early on in her nursing career, she worked as a CNA at Upjohn and Bayada Nurses. Later she worked at Holy Redeemer for 20 years where she retired as a LPN.
In 1946 she met Albert Ackridge who preceded her in death and from this union, she had two children, Eleanor Simmons & Angela Croxton. Later she married Eugene Clark who preceded her in death, from this union she had 3 children, Colon, who preceded in death, Zaneda McNeill & Deurward Clark. Eugene Clark had a son William Clark whom she loved as her own son who preceded her in death.
Mother Clark was known for her cooking and baking. She was nothing short of a culinary magician. She wasn't just a cook she was an excellent cook and an extraordinary Baker. Her chicken and dumplings, candied yams, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, sweet potato pie, apple cobbler, 7-up cake, and pineapple upside-down cake just to name a few were the best. Her food didn't just fill our bellies it filled our hearts.
In 1952 Mother Rehama Clark was baptized and filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost at Greater Refuge Church of Christ in Philadelphia, PA where she was a member from 1976 to 1985 under the leadership of the late Bishop H. D. Jones and Elder Bradford Berry. From 1985 to 2011 she had fellowships under the leadership of Elder Bradford Berry in Pleasantville, NJ, who is now the State Apostle of Church of our Lord Jesus Christ (COOLJC). From 2011 to the present she fellowships at Ecclesiastic Church under the leadership of Pastor Charles Fears. Her favorite song to sing while worshiping was Great is thy faithfulness.
Mother Rehama Clark held offices as Pennsylvania State missionary president from 1985 to 2011, the Minister’s and Deacon’s wives Guild local recording secretary in Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania State Women's Council recording secretary and treasurer, and president of the Greater Refuge radio broadcast choir. She was a member of the all-night prayer band, an altar worker, a fundraiser for the retirement center in Columbia SC, and a member of the C00LJC international missionary department's weeping woman's prayer band. As the state missionary president, she won numerous awards and banners from the COOLJC international missionary department for her outstanding leadership works and service. She also worked with foreign missions on the state and local level gathering barrels of clothing and materials to send to Africa in foreign countries
Mother Rehama Clark was a pioneer in outreach for souls. This was her biggest mission witnessing on the streets of the various cities throughout Pennsylvania and numerous states where she held numerous outreach services. She leaves to mourn 3 daughters, Eleanor Simmons, Angela Croxton & Zaneda McNeill, two sons William Clark who preceded her in death, Deurward Clark, one God-daughter Lanaida, two God-sons Dorian & Aaron Jefferson-Hale, one daughter in law, Kimberly Clark and Ten grand-children, Cobre', Desiree, Gary, Earl, Erika, Kevin, Singleton, Joshua, Jeremiah, Jurius and one grandchild Tonya who preceded her in death. 20 great-grands, 20 great great- grands & 4 great great great-grands. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins & friends
