Luigi DeCicco
Shared Memories

I will miss my old friend and tailor Luigi. I would often sit and chat with him at his shop off Lancaster Avenue as he regaled me with stories of his life, his family and his customers. No matter what mood I was in, Luigi could always make me laugh. He called me his "goomba" which I took as a term of endearment. His passing is heaven's gain.

I only knew Luigi for the last 4 years, but he made me and everyone feel like I've known him for life. I lived at the Ventnor condo, across from him and Carolina, and I would smile as he made "my day" with a "HELLO MARK" and a huge smile on his face from ear to ear. We'd go our ways for the day and maybe meet up at the pool or beach for a quick sun & swim. But it seemed like every Friday or Saturday night, we'd sit at the balcony, hum and sing Sinatra & Martin, tell some jokes, and lift a toast (or three) of wine with many of the other faithfuls at "VOCA". He had the spirit and soul of a tremendous guy. Well liked by "all" . Now he is chirping and singing and even dancing with Angels in heaven! God bless Luigi. He will forever be sorely missed.

What a great loss. Our hearts are heavy. Memories of relaxing with Luigi and Lina on the beach, parties in Ventnor with Luigi serenading us and times hanging out with him in the back of his tailor shop "Luigi's Deli" will forever brighten our hearts. "Luigi, I need a pound of Mortadella, a pound of Soppressata and some long hots" 😆💔 We send sincere condolences and prayers that his beautiful family can find the strength they need to get through the difficult days ahead. With love and the greatest respect, Gary & Wendy

Sorry to hear this news. Prayers to the family especially Mrs. DeCicco, Joe and Rocco. Growing up with Joe I was able to experience Luigi's sense of humor and infectious laugh. He was always very welcoming with a smile on his face. I know he will be missed!
