Jean Yost Howe (nee Buehrle), of Lansdale, sadly passed away on Friday, January 19, after a short illness, at the age of 87. In her younger years, Jean enjoyed bowling and was a champion shuffleboard player. Jean was an avid member of the Lansdale community and once held the position of President of the Lansdale Fraternal Order of Eagles. She was a giving person and enjoyed sharing her “purchases” with others. This gave her and others much joy. Jean was the loving mother of son Joseph Howe, daughter Cynthia Clarkson (Patrick) and daughter-in-law Faith Howe, the cherished grandmother to Joseph “Joey” Howe (Victoria), Brandon Howe, Christopher Howe, Megan Mattera (Chris), Madison Howe and Lauren Howe and the great-grandmother to Harley Howe. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Robert Paul and Verna Yost Buehrle, her youngest son Timothy Howe, her older sister Ethel Schaffer, her twin brother James Buehrle and her partner of 20 years William “Bill” Smith. She will be greatly missed by her Dock Woods community friends, where she resided for the last 12 years. Further arrangements will be private and held by the family.
