George Bowes, Jr., of the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia, passed away, at home, on July 19, 2024, at age 73. Beloved wife of Deonna Bowes (nee Dougherty), sadly missed by his brothers and sisters, Joseph, William, John, James, Kimberly. Father of Ian, Mike, Alice, Jamie and Shawn. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Madison (babygirl), Chase, Camron, Grayson, Mika, Kaitlyn and Michael. Services are pending and will be announced once finalized. George will be laid to rest at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.

George, I will miss you! I will miss seeing you around. I’ll miss you saying hey yo, I’ll miss all the great memories and all the laughter we had. Can’t forget when you used to always sing the oldies dancing, you were a character!! Always smiling and goofing around. You also loved the girls , you were always great with kids❤️ You had a great soul George! You’ll be missed dearly!! Love you! ❤️

My name is Wayne George was a good soul always one to have a good conversation George was know to sit out front to enjoy the fresh air all while enjoying company of friends I was with George at his side of his final moments I got the call from red his wife an without hesitation I was there no questions asked it was a pleasure knowing George real kind hearted man with a style of dressing that was threw the roof my kids knew him also he always spoke to them as they passed his house on the way to the store you were a fighter & the 6 years I been around u never gave up I hope that your in a better place watch over your family until we meet again old man save a place for me you will forever hold a place in our hearts
