Thomas Blewett

Thomas Blewett, 81, of Cherry Hill, NJ died May 3, 2020. He was born in Elizabeth, NJ, the ninth of eleven children, to the late Charles Blewett and Catherine (nee Walsh). Shortly after birth his large family settled in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia.  He was a proud graduate of North Catholic High School (Class of 1957). After high school, Tom served our country in the United States Army as an MP. He met his wife, Patricia, and they were married for nearly 53 years. They settled in Mayfair and raised their two children Greg and Natalie. Tom was a purchasing agent for a sheet metal fabricator for three decades. He retired in 1997 and he and Patricia briefly lived in his beloved, Venice Fl. He worked with his son in the accounting field for a number of years. Additionally, he enjoyed doing property rehabilitation work. Tom faithfully cheered on his Phillies, Flyers and Notre Dame football. He enjoyed local restaurants and loved making Sunday breakfast for his family.  But his favorite passion was playing various sports with his two grandchildren, Connor and Cameron. He was a fixture at many youth basketball and ice hockey games rooting on his grandchildren. Tom is  survived by his beloved wife Patricia Blewett, children, Gregory (Chrissie) and Natalie Blewett McVeigh (Greg) and grandchildren Connor and Cameron. Loving brother of  Robert Blewett (Veronica) and Madeline Fitzgerald (Dan) and the late Richard Blewett (Ann), Eileen Duffy (Mike), Kathleen McGowan (Joe), Nancy Keough, (Ray), Eleanor Colahan, Margaret Keough (Joe), Rita Lindelough, and Joan Shea,.Sadly missed by many loving nieces and nephews. Because of the current health concerns, Tom’s family will have a private graveside prayer service and burial. He will be laid to rest in Locustwood Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
