Michael J. Repici

August 9th, 2021

Michael J. Repici, of Palm Beach Gardens FL, formerly of Bensalem PA, passed away July 25th , 2021 at the age of 63. Son of the late Philip A Repici Sr. and Mary Rita Repici nee Katona. Beloved husband and partner of 34 years to Laura P Matera. Loving brother of Marie DiMassa (Lou), Philip A Repici, Jr (Leenie), Frank Repici (Tracey), Joanne Slimbock (David) and Paula Papageorgeiou  (Francis Guarnaccia). No matter how busy or far away, Michael always stayed close to his many adoring nieces and nephews, and he held a very special place in his heart for his three Godchildren, Alyssa, Joey and Nicolina.  Michael’s devotion to his mother-in-law,  Palma Matera, was beyond admirable and  “he did more for her than any son could do.”  Michael was a hardworking, passionate, outrageously funny, incredibly generous  man.  His love for  the game of pool as a young teen inspired him to start his own business, Repici’s Custom Billiard Service, in 1976.  He enjoyed a highly successful career as a Billiard Installer, traveling across the country, where he met many celebrities while installing their tables. He and Frank were known to countless people in the billiard industry all over the US as “The Brothers,” and everyone remembers Michael’s gift for conversation. He was a member of the Billiard Congress of America and the Bucks County Chamber of Commerce, and proudly sponsored many youth sports teams and charity events. His networking talents allowed him to partner with Laura’s banking career and they excelled at promoting themselves  as a team for many billiard, banking and community functions, proudly wearing each other’s logo attire. Since his retirement in 2018, Michael became an avid pool player for the APA in Palm Beach Gardens, winning league MVP in his skill class, three years in a row. Michael and Laura enjoyed daily walks at their favorite park, and a stop at Lake Catherine to see their personalized tree and plaque was always a must for their out of town visitors. Michael was a life-long Beatles fan, sports trivia whiz, and his knack for remembering everyone’s birthdays, anniversaries and due dates, was just astounding.  Services for Michael will be held on Tuesday August 17, 2021 at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc. 6711 Frankford Ave. Philadelphia PA 19135.
