April 1st, 2021

Jennifer Marcie Kirch, 50, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021. She was a warrior, not letting cancer deter her from living her dreams and bringing joy, friendship, and mindfulness to the world. Jennifer grew up outside of Ocean City, NJ.  She attended The College of New Jersey where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology in 1992 and her Master of Arts in Teaching in 1994.Upon graduation, the lure of living at the beach brought her back home.  She’s been a public-school teacher since 1994 teaching all subjects in elementary school and English in middle school. Jennifer loved her community and proudly supported small businesses.  She was passionate about fashion, learning, reading, travel, yoga and meditation. A certified yoga and meditation teacher, she thrived on learning more about mindfulness, meditation, numerous healing modalities, and how to bring socio-emotional wellness to others. Diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer in May of 2018, Jennifer inspired many with her healing journey.  She was blessed beyond words and forever grateful for her family and friends who created an army of support and love like no other. Jennifer was an inspirational, best-selling, international author of three books in the She Is Magic series and the Founder of Pause and Reflect Yoga.  She was passionate about helping others with The Warrior’s Voice Blog. She leaves behind her parents, Murray and Barbara Kirch, her sister, Lisa Kirch, her brother-in-law, Richard, and her nephew, Alex. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory be made to the mindfulness or educational charity of your choice. A celebration of life will be held on the beach in Ocean City, NJ during the summer. Details are still to be arranged.
