Glenda App

Glenda App, of the Fox Chase section of Philadelphia, formerly of  Strawberry Mansion, passed away June 30th, 2021 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of Charles App Jr. Loving mother of Glenda Ruth (Matt), Charles “Chuckie” (Nicole), Daniel Peter and David Andrew. Cherished grandmother of Nicolette, Joey, Kevin, Ashley, Alisa, Amanda, Gianna, Dominic, and Kyle. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Glenda served as a missionary with Evangelization Society of Philadelphia for 6 years, she served as Pastor’s wife at Norriton Community Church in East Norriton, PA., she was an elementary school teacher, educator of the D.A.R.E program and a counselor in the Philadelphia School District. She served as a bible school superintendent and as Pastor’s wife at Burholme Baptist Church for 42 years. She will be remembered for being irreplaceable, humble, being a wonderful counselor and a very generous and good hearted Christian woman. Glenda had an ability to communicate in plain, clear and understandable language. She was a wonderful wife, a loving mother and an amazing friend with a great sense of humor. Family and friends are invited to gather, remember and celebrate Glenda’s life on Sunday July 11th at Burholme Baptist Church (905 Cottman Ave. Phila. PA, 19111) There will be a Service in the church at 11:00AM. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
