Dorothy A. Collins

Dorothy A. Collins (nee Coine), formerly of Northeast Philadelphia, passed away on April 30th, 2020, at age 88. Dorothy was a resident for several years at Care One at Evesham in Marlton, NJ. She was the loving mother of  Dorothy Dzikowski (Mike), Terry Piascik (Joe), David (Patty), Paul (Ann), John (Wanda), and the late Jean Dougherty and Scott Collins.  She was predeceased by her husband, John Collins.  Dorothy will be sadly missed by her 17  grand children, 16 great grand children, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.  Dorothy was a very busy women, working as a nurse, taking care of her large family of seven kids and her husband, John.  She enjoyed vacations down the shore, loved to read  and watch Jeopardy.  Dorothy was the life of the party, who enjoyed being in the company of others.  After she retired, she selflessly volunteered at a prison, where she taught those incarcerated how to read.  She is missed already and leaves a legacy ensuring that she will never be forgotten. Because of the current health concerns, Dorothy’s family has decided on a private prayer service and burial. She will be laid to rest in Greenmount Cemetery.
