Bernard J. Mertz, formerly of the Kensingston section of Philadelphia, passed away on November 12th, 2021, at age 78. Loving father of Matthew Hamell, Alexander Hamell-Mertz (Erica Hamell), Austin Hamell-Mertz and Max Hamell. Devoted grandfather of Brianna Hamell. Predeceased by his brother, Gerard Mertz, Jr. and his sister, Anna May Maines. At the request of the family there will be no services at this time.
