Thomas Crane of the Tacony section of Philadelphia, passed away on September 13th, 2018 at the age of 88. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Patricia (nee Dwyer), his children Patricia Lyons (Wallace), Anthony (Daun), and Julie Crane. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren, 2 sisters Sheila Ball (the late Frank), and Jenny McGill (Steve), as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Tom proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a devout family man who always stood by his children. Never taking life too serious he could turn any situation around with his quick wit. Always carrying a song in his heart it was common to hear him humming or whistling as he took his daily walks or bike rides through his neighborhood of Tacony. He was an avid reader and lover of animals. He was a great story teller and always showed kindness and care for those around him. A retired machinist from Le Damor, Tom enjoyed this time that was well earned and deserved after a life time of hard work. Tom’s greatest joy was watching his grandchildren grow and always encouraged them to reach for their goals. Tom will be sadly missed by friends and family. At request of the family interment will be private.
