Shirley May Fritzinger

Shirley May (née Reed) Fritzinger of Lansdale and formerly of Perkasie PA, sadly passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022.  She was 87.  She was the loving wife of Francis John Fritzinger with whom she shared 69 wonderful years.  She was born on May 1, 1934 in Doylestown, PA to Martha Elizabeth Clime and raised by her loving grandparents, Samuel Wisler Clime and Florence Kirk Thatcher Clime. Shirley was a homemaker but after her children were grown, she worked in the cafeteria of Pennridge High School in Perkasie and became known as the “milkshake lady”.  A longtime member of Faith Baptist Church, Sellersville, PA since 1962, she taught Sunday School and worked in the Nursery. Shirley had many hobbies but was mostly known for her crafting and art abilities.  After retirement, she became an avid painter. Surviving with her husband are her 2 beloved children, Kevin Fritzinger and his wife Michele, of Boyertown and Faith Howe, of Telford; five cherished grandchildren, Ryan Fritzinger(Melissa), Adam Fritzinger (Allison), Eric Fritzinger, Madison Howe and Lauren Howe; 2 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, a brother-in-law and sister’s-in-law.  She is precededin death by her grandparents, her mother, her father William K. Reed Jr, siblings Henry Clime, Isabel Clime Twiford, Eleanor Clime Rice, Caroline Clime Lightcap, Lawrence Clime and son-in-law Timothy Howe. Family and friends are invited to gather, remember and celebrate Shirley on Friday January 21, 2022 at Wayside Chapel in Whitemarsh Memorial Park (1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler PA 19002). You may visit and comfort the family from 11:00AM-12:00PM.  A service at noon will follow the viewing and the burial follows in the Gardens of Faith of Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
