Kathleen Brodbine

Kathleen Brodbine (nee Sharkey), passed away peacefully at her home September 10th, 2021 at the age of 96. longtime resident of the Mayfair section of Philadelphia, formerly of Swampoodle, Kathleen was a graduate of Hallahan High School, class of 1943. Beloved wife of the late George Brodbine. Daughter of the late Annie and Patrick Sharkey. Loving sister of Peggy McGee (the late Franny) and predeceased by Hughie Sharkey (Anne), Susan Sharkey, Marie Handzus (Johnny), Helen Dougherty (Johnny) and Nancy Kilroy (Paddy).   Loving aunt to many nieces & nephews.  Kathleen is also survived by Edmond, Mary Lou, Eamon and Rhiannon Brodbine. Family and friends are invited to gather, remember and celebrate Kathleen’s life on Saturday September 18th at St. Matthew’s R.C. Church (3000 Cottman Ave.) You may visit and comfort Kathleen’s family during the viewing from 9:15AM-10:15AM. There will be a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM. Burial to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
