Juan Bautista Alvelo

Juan Bautista Alvelo, of North Philadelphia, passed away on February 10th , 2020, at age 57. Loving father of Melissa Fossie, Gabrielle Houey and Jonathan Alvelo. . Loving brother of Victor Alvelo, Ana Julia Carreras, Antonia Gonzalez, Pedro Alvelo, Jr., Carmen Alvelo, Maria I. Alvelo, Marisa Alvelo, Radames Alvelo and Ibet Gonzalez. Devoted grandfather of Aidan and Alivia, also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.  Family and friends are invited to gather, remember and celebrate Juan’s life on Saturday February 15th at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc. 6711 Frankford Ave. (between Unruh & Knorr Sts) You may visit and comfort Juan’s family during the visitation from 10:30am -12:00 pm in the funeral home. There will be a Prayer Service at 12:00 noon. Burial will be at a later date in private at Chelten Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Juan’s memory to his family, so that an education fund can be set up for his grandchildren.
