Joan M. Cummins McIntyre Chalifoux of Philadelphia, Pa,  passed away on November 30, 2021, at age 85. Loving wife of the late Henry Chalifoux. Beloved mother to Susan McIntyre, Marian McCann (James) and Scott McIntyre (Sue), the late Billy McIntyre and Linda Gramiak (Bruce). Cherished Grandmother of Kevin and Sean McCann, Kim Moody (Mark), Kenneth Hender, Bruce Gamiak, Sabrina Gamiak, Ayna Gamiak and the late Michael Gramiak. Great Grandmother to Ethan, Kim, Kennedy, Kamryn, McKayla, Kylie, Mia, Denny, Andrew, Ryan, Jack, Young Michael and Benjamin. Loving Sister of Sandra Macko (Dave). Aunt to Kristen Brown (David) and Ryan Macko. Joan was sleeping comfortable and dosed off forever. Joan always had a smile on her face. She was a happy woman with kind words, wise cracks and 1 or 2 word jokes. She would tell you like it was if you asked her. Joan was strong willed and stubborn and never complained or gave up. Joan loved to travel all her life, living in Pennsylvania, Florida, South Carolina and New Jersey. She loved to play bingo in any state, 24/7 if she could. She always enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and her slew of family. Family and friends are invited to gather, remember and celebrate Joan’s life on Wednesday, December 8th at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc. 6711 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19135 (between Unruh & Knorr Sts.) You may visit and comfort Joan’s family during her visitation from 9:30am-11:00am. There will be a prayer service in the funeral home at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers please donate in Joan’s memory to one of the following charities: American Heart Association, National Kidney Foundation, Shriners Hospital for Children, McDonald House Charities of the Pennsylvania SPCA.
