Charles Anthony Rodriguez

Charles Anthony Rodriguez, age 72, comfortably passed away on October 25th, 2021, surrounded by loved ones after an extended hospitalization. Charles was born to Charles and Madeline (nee Barreda) Rodriguez and grew up in Philadelphia, PA.  As a young boy, he worked at his mother’s luncheonette at 4^th and Oxford Streets, and he later graduated from North Catholic High School. He was an avid and extraordinary golfer, earning the title of club champion in numerous competitions over his five-decade long history of dedication to the sport.  His other hobbies included reading mystery thrillers, cooking cheese steaks, and flirting with waitresses. He had a passionate love affair with chicken parmesan, orange Sunkist soda, and apple pie a la mode. Charles was a jokester who always made everyone laugh. He had a strong Catholic belief system and was a dedicated family man. His greatest joys in life came from celebrating with family, family communication, and family togetherness. He was survived by his loving companion, Donna; his three children, Charles, Christa (Jonathan) and Christian; his sister Emily; his stepchildren Melissa (Dave), Bobby (Stephanie), and Jason (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Brandon (Sidney), Jason, Gianna, Neveah, Benjamin, Lucas, Ryan, Erin, Matteo, and Keira; and his great-grandchildren Cooper, Colton, and Tenley Jo. Friends and family are invited to Charles’ visitation from 9:00 A.M-10:30 A.M. on Saturday, November 6th, 2021, at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church (7051 Tulip St. Phila., PA 19135).
