Benjamin “Ben” Levi Greenberg, 40, of Lititz, PA, passed away on March 14, 2024, with his family lovingly by his side.

Ben is survived by his parents, Kathleen and David; his devoted wife, Colleen; their cherished daughters, Hannah and Fiona; his brother, Jesse, and sister-in-law, Elyn; his nephews, Aiden and Alexander; his sister, Sacha Shaw, and brother-in-law, Joseph Shaw; as well as numerous beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ben was born December 5, 1983, in Phoenix, AZ. While his family moved to Maynard, MA, early in his childhood, Ben was very fond of Arizona and made many trips back to his birth state throughout his life. In Maynard, Ben enjoyed a fun-filled youth with many New England adventures and holidays with his large extended family.

Ben graduated from New Hampton School in 2002 and Northeastern University in 2010. He achieved an impressive 17-year career in the biotech industry, where he excelled in roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as Executive Director of Strategic Sourcing.

Ben and Colleen met in October 2014 and were married on Cape Cod in May 2017. In February 2019 and July 2023, they welcomed Hannah and Fiona, the most important parts of his life.

Ben was a strong-willed, passionate person with several interests and hobbies. He gave 110% to everything he did and never settled for “good enough.”  He was a self-taught chef and grill master and enjoyed hosting friends and family for various holiday meals and gatherings. Ben had an eye for design and made his homes and gardens beautiful. He loved the outdoors and was happiest at the campground or beach. Ben had an extensive movie collection and regularly quoted his favorite films in conversation or when challenging others in movie trivia. He also had an eclectic taste in music and knew how to pick the right mix for any setting, even if he played it too loud. Ben was a Boston sports fanatic and a loyal Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics, and Patriots supporter. Ben was a problem solver who could fix or build anything and took on many projects in and around the house. Ben’s endurance was unmatched; he even completed the Pan-Mass Challenge in 2008 and 2009.

Ben’s large circle of friends and family knew no limits to his generosity. He was the first to offer to help you move or pull over to assist a stranger in trouble. As a host, Ben worked tirelessly to provide comfort and entertainment to guests. His presence shined bright with his boisterous laugh and a big smile that would fill any room. Ben will be forever remembered as a spirited individual who fiercely defended his convictions and those he held dear. He used his determination to make the best of every experience he shared with others. In this day and age of social media and texting, Ben remained committed to personal connections, regularly reaching out by phone to check in with his loved ones. Ben will be remembered as a person with a big heart.

Though Ben possessed numerous talents, his greatest source of pride lay within his family. Ben and Colleen shared countless cherished moments of romance and adventure. His love for Hannah and Fiona was boundless, and he found immense fulfillment in supporting them. His absence leaves a void in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known and cherished him.

Ben’s life will be celebrated in Cape Cod in late spring. Further details will be announced in the upcoming weeks. In memory of Ben and his love of the outdoors, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Appalachian Mountain Club, 10 City Square, Boston, MA 02129 or via their website: https://www.outdoors.org/donate/tribute-gifts. Please be sure to indicate your donation is in memory of Benjamin Greenberg.
